Forest Labs and Allergan Sue Sun Pharma For Patent Infringement


Allergan and Forest Laboratories have filed a compliant against Sun Pharma, alleging patent infringement. The two companies filed the complaint on June 30th in the US District Court for the District of Delaware. The suit came after Sun Pharma filed an Abbreviated New Drug Application with the FDA to market Linzess (linaclotide), a drug which is used to treat chronic irritable bowel syndrome and constipation. The companies have asked to be awarded monetary relief if Sun Pharma sells the generic.
